(1) Platanus orientalis Linne¢¥
(2) Prunus padus Linne¢¥
(3) Populus monilifera Aiton
(4) Salix babylonica Linne¢¥
(5) Prunus yedoensis Matsumura
(6) Ailanthus alissima Swingle
2. Platanus and popular trees were downed by typhoons in a coastal city, Pohang, Kyongsang Pukto, in 1971. Drooping willows are recommended in such areas.

4. The author raised six species in order to study their life history. Twenty-seven species were collected by the author and 210 species were listed as injurious to road-side trees.
5. The budget for insect control of each city is very small. Surveys and research should be included in the regular budget.
6. Effective control measures would be:
(1) Artificial capture by hand.
(2) Elimination of the infested branches.
(3) Spraying with B. H. C. Dipterex, or other insecticides.
(4) Utilization of lighttraps.
(5) Protection and utilization of the natural enemies
